Immediate Payments is a new service from VocaLink that provides real time account-to-account credit transfers.
Immediate Payments is the most advanced retail payment system in the world. It fully leverages the processes, procedures and capabilities of the UK Faster Payment Service and delivers payments within seconds, providing immediate confirmation of end-to-end completion. The service supports traditional inter-bank transfers as well as emerging channels such as on-line and mobile.
IP is designed to provide a non-stop service that operates continuously 24x7. It can cater for transaction throughput in excess of one thousand transactions per second and is scalable to process volumes ranging from hundreds of thousands, to hundreds of millions of transactions per annum.
